LEarn How these Help
Patient & Caregiver OR Medical Provider & Educator
The online flashcard database contains a combination of over 30 different images and videos with prompts designed to articulate details of how someone’s vision can appear from the patient’s perspective.
Created through collaboration with different TBI patients, which include an MLB prospect, an NBA player, youth and adults patients. Some of the videos were developed in collaboration with Dr. Kevin E. Houston, Massachusetts Eye and Ear.
Testimonial
“For me, as the parent of this 8 year old boy, the flash card discussion was revealing. I felt relief in understanding his experience better. This was somehow tangible to me now, but in a nauseating way. Terrifyingly fascinating is how I might describe it.
I felt like the cup photo—appearing like it was shaking rapidly back and forth and the pages of the book were the most accurate depictions for him.
I also felt some relief in understanding that he wasn’t just emotionally lost. There was a reason for his tears, headaches, and changes to his demeanor. ”
